“This piece for me is a depiction of my fear for humankind; for the freedom that is being taken away from us in the name of “saving lives''; and mostly for the fear of the world that my little brother Josiah is going to grow up in. One where, as a 1-year-old, he asks for a mask, and cries when it's taken off. A world where he can't go out to play with other kids of his age, and a world where people are afraid of living because they don't want to die from COVID-19. And so it is with this piece that I ask myself “Is this the new normal?”.
